Nick Bainbridge, Director

Nick is the most experienced member of the team with over 38 years’ experience in the financial services industry. After leaving school Nick commenced employment with Friends Provident in Actuarial department before progressing through various other roles over the next 13 years. This gave him excellent knowledge and understanding of how financial products work. He subsequently gained further knowledge through becoming a financial adviser within the banking industry. In 1999 Nick formed Lifetime Connections with Matt to provide a more personal level of advice to their clients.

Outside of work Nick enjoys boating, waterskiing, wakeboarding, skiing, snowboarding and football.

Matthew Birley, Director

With over 25 years’ worth of experience in the financial services industry Matt brings a wealth of knowledge to the firm and as a co-founder of Lifetime Connections Matt has always been at the heart of business. Having starting his career at Confederation Life in 1989, moving to Black Horse Financial Services in 1994, he has held a range of advising and management positions and thus gained a broad base of industry knowledge. He prides himself in his ability to maintain long-term relationships with clients who gain trust in his reliability.

When not in the office Matt enjoys building guitars and playing/recording with various local bands.

Sandra Watson, Adviser

After obtaining her degree, Sandra’s career started in the fashion industry however she decided a career in financial services was more suited to her skill set. She stayed with the Woolwich for 10 years holding various managerial and advisory roles. Sandra’s career at Lifetime Connections Ltd commenced in 2000 where she advises on areas of wealth management with a particular focus on pensions. Her focused but service driven relationship with clients and exceptional attention to details has resulted in Sandra assisting many to achieve their financial goals.

Sandra’s spare time is occupied largely by boating (when the weather permits!) and also enjoys sewing and dressmaking when she gets the opportunity.

Aimee Payne, Office Manager

Aimee joined the team in October 2000 as an administration assistant and has since completed several business qualifications and moved in to an office management role. As her role has expanded she has absorbed responsibility for account management and also supports with mortgage and protection cases, ensuring documentation meets highest of compliant standards.

During her spare time Aimee enjoys playing tennis and swimming on a regular basis as well as watching movies.

Teresa, Mortgage Administrator

Teresa jumped straight into the finance industry going to work for Barclays as a school leaver. She then moved to Halifax where she moved between various roles ranging from a mortgage administrator to assistant branch manager over a 15 year period. After having her first child Teresa joined Lifetime Connections to oversee the mortgage process and has subsequently been with us for over 11 years. During this time she has become an integral part of the business and has established an excellent relationship with many clients.

Teresa loves spending time with her husband and 2 daughters and also enjoys walking with her dog.

David Lamb, Operations

David joined the team in November 2012 having pursued a career as a Commercial Banking Manager for 21 years with HSBC, followed by an 8 year stint running his own electrical testing business which he sold in 2012. In overseeing operations, David uses his broad experience in financial matters and process management to make sure we service our clients correctly and to ensure we maintain the highest standards of documentation and meet all the compliance standards required of Financial Advisors.

David is married with 2 sons and enjoys playing badminton, amateur photography and watching the financial markets. He also has a German Language degree from Durham University.
